A VERY SATISFYING CRIME DEBUT - 5 STARS . . . I found this to be a stylish, very readable crime thriller . . . The author's depiction of the sordid, drug and booze-addled underworld of the fashion industry is quite frighteningly realistic and the combination of this and the sometimes equally murky world of tabloid journalism works extremely well as a backdrop to what is a very good crime story in its own right * Breakaway Reviewers *
Crime meets couture in this gripping story * Marie Claire Magazine *

This twisty crime debut is gripping...Set during London Fashion Week it's as glam as it is gruesome, and the unveiling of the killer is a total WTF?! moment * Glamour Magazine *
An edge of your seat thriller from debut author Corrie Jackson * Hello Magazine *
Strongly plotted, brilliantly character driven crime thriller with a difference... This is a very hard hitting book... For me what made this book rise head and shoulders above others was Sophie herself. I just loved her attitude and her honesty which combined to make her one of the most endearing heroines I have ever met. She was flawed and impulsive but she never gave up in her request for the truth... A well deserved 5 star review for this debut novel and highly recommended by me * My Chestnut Reading Tree *
Breaking Dead is well-written, easy to follow, and fast moving. Sophie's character is well-defined * Bella Magazine *
This is not your typical crime thriller, it is fresh, bold and brazenly original... Breaking Dead is gritty, nerve-tingling and completely relentless. The pace does not give up at all; it is truly breath-taking! * Emma The Little Bookworm *
Breaking Dead has the feel of a noir movie, with up-market hotels, seedy flats and the brightly-lit newsroom. It's tightly-plotted, fast-moving and I devoured it greedily in two sittings * Crime Review *
Breaking Dead is the first book in a dark, powerful and enthralling series featuring young newspaper reporter Sophie Kent...there is true style, flair and finesse in this gripping opener ... Jackson hits the ground not just running, but sprinting in a fast-paced, atmospheric story. But what makes this debut so impressive is the stunning authenticity of the characters, the clever, fast-paced plot and Jackson's understanding of the grim realities of working in both the hard-nosed fashion industry and amidst the endless tensions and demands of a busy newspaper. Brimming with angst, anger, anguish and action, this is just the start of what promises to be an enthralling new crime series... * Lancashire Evening Post *
Do you like your crime fiction how you like your fashion: chic, seamless and well put together? Then this could be the perfect fit for you this fall... addictive and absorbing crime debut...vividly glamorous settings and her twisty, tightly woven plot. Corrie has created a memorably strong, complex and flawed female protagonist in Sophie Kent - and given her a killer storyline to boot.
