Marta Altes loves to tell stories, and her passion for illustration saw her study for a degree in Graphic Design in Barcelona. She then moved to the UK to study for an MA in Children's Book Illustration at Cambridge School of Art, and since then she has written and illustrated picture books such as My Grandpa, which won the Read It Again! I really liked the plot of this book as I couldn't guess what George's secret was until it was revealed half way through. Then the story gets really exciting as the friends try to save their strange new friend. Marta Altes' fine illustration style is full of emotion - you'll find yourself poring over her drawings again and again.
