The designs also deliberately connect to their local history, context, or land - in many cases all three. Donna Kacmar is a practicing architect, educator, and writer in Houston, Texas, USA. Donna is a principal with Architect Works, PLLC, and a Professor at the Gerald D. Hines College of Architecture and Design at the University of Houston. Her previous books include Big Little House: Small Houses Designed by Architects and Victor Lundy Artist Architect.
