Description

The job of a CEO is almost impossible to define. It is the most powerful and influential position in any organisation, yet very little discourse exists that attempts to provide a succinct formula for doing the job, never mind doing it well. In Being the CEO, Michael Pain, the Founder and CEO of Forum Strategy - a national company that focuses on strategy and organisational development consultancy - approaches the subject with delicacy and well-refined insight. This sharp and insightful book sees Michael use his knowledge and work on organisational strategy and development to lay out the six dimensions of the CEO, which reflects the six areas that are key to sustainable growth and success, with a unique look at sustainable organisational improvement and relevant policy and research insights.

About the Author
Michael Pain is CEO of Forum Strategy. Under his leadership the organisation has moved from a start-up business to becoming a `sector leader', supporting and advising hundreds of MAT leaders nationwide through Forum's #MATLeaders networks and beyond. Michael speaks regularly on leadership, vision and responding to the contextual issues facing the education system and society, sustainable organisational improvement, and relevant policy and research insights. He also draws on his work advising CEOs, and his own experience as a successful entrepreneur, establishing a successful and highly respected national business with an excellent team of employees and associates alike.Michael was formerly Head of Policy at the National College for School Leadership and, before that, an adviser to a number of politicians. He was called to the Bar in 2007.

The shipping was just superior

The shipping was just superior; not even one of the books was in contact with the shipping box -anywhere-, not even a corner or the bottom, so all the books arrived in perfect condition. The international shipping took around 2 weeks, so pretty great too.
