This is a useful book for anyone who treats spinal patients. The authors address a large patient group who often receive multidisciplinary treatment, which therefore puts one's own field of expertise in an important, comprehensive perspective. I highly recommend the book and believe that it should be part of the standard library in the doctor's office. * Journal of the Norwegian Medical Association *
In his Foreword, Andrew Baranowski writes that the book is designed to inform and act as a brief reference for practitioners, both medical and in allied specialties working with back pain. I think that this is a far better representation. It certainly does give information on available treatments and their clinical evidence. If you are looking for information on a particular type of treatment you can find it within the book and you can consider whether that is appropriate for your individual patient... In essence, this is a book, which may usefully sit in a drawer in the consulting room of a GP or back pain therapist. * C. N. D. Edwards, for British Journal of Anaesthetics, July 2013. *
