Tony Kirkham (Contributor)
Tony Kirkham MBE, VMH cared for the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew collection of 14,000 trees for over 40 years, retiring in 2021 as Head of Arboretum, Gardens and Horticulture Services. He was awarded the Royal Horticultural Society's Victoria Medal of Honour in 2019. He has written and co-authored numerous books on trees and has also featured on TV programmes including Judi Dench: My Passion For Trees and has presented two television series of The Trees That Made Britain for the BBC.
Katie Scott (Illustrator)
Katie Scott graduated from University of Brighton in 2011. Her work draws influences from traditional medical and botanical illustration, both in aesthetic and subject matter. Her work plays with the ideas of scientific uncertainty and speculation, fabricating the inner and outer workings of the world. Her illustrations depict a familiar yet fantasy vision of plants, humans and minerals.
