Description

'A charming collection of stories that reminds you life could be so much worse' - Sunday Times, Best Stocking Fillers of 2018

The ultimate toilet book' - Observer
___________

The news can be overwhelming, with reports on post-Brexit food shortages, the underfunded NHS, and international trade wars, but local news is filled with many other serious headlines . . .

Naked gardener puts neighbour off sausages

Sports coach irate because KFC staff 'didn't cook him chicken'

Fury after Morrisons wouldn't sell couple meat pies before 9am

House fire started by squirrel disrupts funeral

People across the UK are suffering the horrors of naked neighbours, large potholes, and parking fines. Packed with the best that regional journalism can offer, there are chapters on antisocial behaviour, transport hell and fast-food nightmares. Local issues may not be worthy of national headlines, but they certainly make people very, very angry . . .

Hilarious stories and photos from local papers, from the creator of 'Britain's funniest blog'.

About the Author

Alistair Coleman joined the BBC as a computer operator in 1989, forgot to leave, and accidentally became a journalist several years later. He's often mistaken for an expert in North Korean and Asian affairs, and is probably on lists in several foreign capitals for what he said about their Presidents.

His award-winning blog, Angry People in Local Newspapers, now has over 200,000 followers and was the first blog to be named Best British Blog by the Guardian.

He has two grown-up children, and lives in Hampshire with his partner Jane. They, in turn, are servants to a pair of seemingly immortal Jack Russells.

Will definitely use again!

Great experience and I have zero concerns. They communicated through the shipping process and if there was any hiccups in it, they let me know. Books arrived in perfect condition as well as being fairly priced. 10/10 recommend. I will definitely shop here again!

The shipping was just superior

The shipping was just superior; not even one of the books was in contact with the shipping box -anywhere-, not even a corner or the bottom, so all the books arrived in perfect condition. The international shipping took around 2 weeks, so pretty great too.
