About the Author
Mary Ellen Miller is former Dean of Yale College, and now directs the Getty Research Institute in Los Angeles. Her book with Linda Schele, The Blood of Kings, is considered a landmark in Maya studies. Karl Taube is an American Mesoamericanist, archaeologist, epigrapher and ethnohistorian, known for his publications and research into the pre-Columbian cultures of Mesoamerica and the American Southwest.
