About the Author
Peggy Parish was born and grew up in Manning, South Carolina. Before moving to New York City, she taught school in the Panhandle country and in coal-mining areas. Her first job in New York City was with the Girl Scouts, and she now teaches the third grade at the Dalton School in Manhattan. Miss Parish is the author of several other books for children, including the popular Let's Be Indians. Fritz Siebel was born in Vienna and now lives in New York City with his family. He is well known for his pictures in Cat and Dog; David and the Giant; and Tell Me Some More ... , all Harper I Can Read Books. Among the other books he has illustrated are A Fly Went By and Who Took the Farmer's Hat? Peggy Parish is the author of numerous books for children, including other popular Amelia Bedelia stories, and the I Can Read Books Dinosaur Time and Good Hunting, Blue Sky. Barbara Siebel Thomas is the daughter of Fritz Siebel, who illustrated the original Amelia Bedelia books. She worked as an art director before devoting full-time work to painting and illustrating. She lives in Bridgehampton, NY. Wallace Tripp studied at the Boston Museum of Fine Arts. He has illustrated more than fifty children's books. Mr. Tripp and his wife run a greeting card company in Peterborough, New Hampshire. They have three children, two dogs, and two cats.

The shipping was just superior

The shipping was just superior; not even one of the books was in contact with the shipping box -anywhere-, not even a corner or the bottom, so all the books arrived in perfect condition. The international shipping took around 2 weeks, so pretty great too.

Found a hard to get book…

Finding a hard to get book on Booksplease and with it not being an over inflated price was great. Ordering was really easy with updates on despatch. The book was packaged well and in great condition. I will certainly use them again.
