Description

The No. 1 International Bestselling author of The Atlas Six brings us a love story like no other. This is a glimpse into what it means to be unwell, and how to love as if you're not broken.

Chicago, sometime. Two people meet in the armory of the Art Institute by chance. Prior to their encounter, he is a doctoral student who manages his destructive thoughts with compulsive calculations about time travel; she is a bipolar counterfeit artist undergoing court-ordered psychotherapy. After their meeting, those things do not change.

Everything else, however, is slightly different.

Both obsessive, eccentric personalities, Aldo Damiani and Charlotte Regan struggle to be without each other from the moment they meet. The truth - that he is a clinically depressed, anti-social theoretician and she is a manipulative liar with a history of self-sabotage - means the deeper they fall in love, the more troubling their reliance on each other becomes.

Alone With You in the Ether by Olivie Blake is a glimpse into the nature of love, and how to face the fractures of yourself.

'Olivie Blake is a mind-blowing talent' - Chloe Gong

'This is a book to savor' - Publishers Weekly

'Pages fly by in this character-driven novel that is intimate, complicated, and utterly romantic' - Booklist

A glimpse into a joining of hearts and minds as Aldo and Charlotte meet and fall ever deeper into love. They'll need to face their fears and the fractures within themselves - and still love as if they're not broken.

About the Author

Olivie Blake is a lover and writer of stories, and is the pen name of Alexene Farol Follmuth. As Olivie, she has penned several independent and self-published speculative fiction projects. These include the webtoon Clara and the Devil, with illustrator Little Chmura, and The Atlas Six. Writing as Alexene, she's released My Mechanical Romance - her debut YA rom-com.

Many of her stories involve the fantastic, the paranormal, or the supernatural, but not always. More often, her works revolve around our collective experience of what it means to be human (or not), and the endlessly interesting complexities of life and love. Alexene tripped and fell into writing after abandoning her long-premeditated track for Optimum Life Achievement while attending law school. She now focuses primarily on the craft and occasional headache of creating fiction.

She lives in Los Angeles with her husband, young son and rescue pit bull.

Reviews
Lethally smart. Filled with a cast of brilliantly realized characters, each entangled with one another in torturously delicious ways, The Atlas Six will grip you by the throat and refuse to let go -- Chloe Gong on The Atlas Six
As much a delicious contest of wit, will, and passion as it is of magic, this book is half mystery, half puzzle, and wholly a delight -- Holly Black on The Atlas Six
Coolly horrific, brilliantly brainy and utterly compelling -- Daily Mail on The Atlas Six

The shipping was just superior

The shipping was just superior; not even one of the books was in contact with the shipping box -anywhere-, not even a corner or the bottom, so all the books arrived in perfect condition. The international shipping took around 2 weeks, so pretty great too.
