Reviews
Praise for Songs from the Violet Cafe 'Fiona Kidman, a poet, is a beautiful writer'The Times 'A subtle, intensely wrought novel of echoes and shadows falling across decades and continents. The interwoven lives emerge and disappear with the abrupt clarity of memory. Stark and unsentimental in its acceptance of dependence, warm and haunting about lives never quite -but almost-reclaimed.' Janet Todd, author of A Man of Genius 'Absorbing and fearlessly written. Beautifully executed!' Caroline Wallace, author of The Drowning of Arthur Braxton and The Finding of Martha Lost Praise for The Infinite Air 'A superbly written novel offering an intriguing interpretation of one of the world's greatest aviators' History from a Woman's Perspective (US book blog) 'A sweeping saga of a fascinating life and an entertaining insight into the early days of aviation.' Historical Novel Society 'A thrilling tale of adventure and heartbreak - Kidman has triumphantly brought this inspirational heroine to life.' The Lady 'A fascinating read.' Red Magazine 'A gripping historical read' Woman's Own Praise for Fiona Kidman: 'We cannot talk about writing in New Zealand without acknowledging Fiona Kidman' New Zealand Books 'In her craft and her storytelling, and in her compassionate, gutsy, tough expression of female experience, she is the best we have' New Zealand Listener

The shipping was just superior

The shipping was just superior; not even one of the books was in contact with the shipping box -anywhere-, not even a corner or the bottom, so all the books arrived in perfect condition. The international shipping took around 2 weeks, so pretty great too.
