About the Author
Mio loves spinning stories, and sharing strange and fascinating facts with readers of all ages. At other times, she can often be found: talking enthusiastically about, or curled up with a good book; exploring; cooking (and eating!) yummy food; panting up and down the mountains of Hong Kong with her dog, her husband, and a camera; or dreaming up more stories to tell!
During her primary school years in Hong Kong, Mio was given a book of Western fairy tales. Although she loved plunging into the fairy tale universe, Mio noticed that the girl characters tended to be rather powerless, and often had to be rescued from dangerous situations. Having become newly brave herself, only a few years before, Mio wished she could make these fairy tale girls become more bold, smart and sassy, too!
Many years have passed since then, but having the wish come true made writing 'Adam and Little Red' - a story about facing your fears, friendship and also, being sassy - especially enjoyable!
