This teacher handbook accompanies the Activate 2 Student Book, with a spread-by-spread match to the content. Every lesson has a working scientifically objective, so you can be sure you're covering this new area of the curriculum. Use Activate 1 and 2 to cover the Programme of Study in two years. Add Activate 3 for a contextual consolidation and extension of content.

Simon Broadley has been teaching secondary science for 18 years, specialising in biology and applied science, and with responsibility for leading Biology and BTEC courses. Simon has a PhD and BSc in microbiology. Simon has been an OUP author for seven years, writing student and teacher resources for KS3 and GCSE. Mark Matthews has been teaching secondary science for over 20 years, specialising in Biology and AppliedScience, and with responsibility for leading biology and BTEC courses.
