Variously called the 'Biarritz of Wales', the 'Cambrian Brighton' and, by Wynford Vaughan Thomas, 'A town for the unambitious man', Aberystwyth has been mid-Wales's premier holiday resort for over 200 years. About the Author
William Troughton was born and raised in Aberystwyth. He has been employed at the National Library of Wales for over twenty years and written a number of books and articles on the history of his hometown.
