About the Author
Robert Ankcorn grew up in Birmingham and his passion for its history and folklore emerged from exploring by bike as a teenager, while Ruby Compton-Davies is a proud adoptee of the city and believes the buzz of Brum is something everybody should appreciate. In 2016 Rob and Ruby co-founded the walking tour company, Real Birmingham, and have since delighted thousands of guests with their tales of the UK's second city. When they aren't touring around their beloved Birmingham, Ruby is a full-time English teacher and passionate activist. Rob is Operations Manager at an NHS hospital, plays in a ukulele band, and is a devoted supporter of Birmingham City FC.
