Reviews
Often without knowing it, many people who are involved in the care of children are misled and bamboozled by professionals who know more about the theory of mental disorder than they do about children. This book is about children, and is essential reading for all people concerned with their welfare. Dorothy Rowe. Psychologist, columnist, author. The final chapter is for me the strongest - here Timimi shines as he draws on his extensive experience of working with children, young people and their families. This chapter on its own could be disseminated to all patients and their families entering a CAMHS clinic, as it offers such sage advice on the core engagement issues families struggle with - Linda Bean, Counsellor/Psychotherapist, 'Counselling Children and Young People', December 2009
