Description

When Jess Green joined the Labour Party at university she doubled the number of members who met weekly in the Liverpool Philarmonic pub. Since then she's stuck by them through the downfall of Tony Blair, the disappointment of Gordon Brown and the monolith of Ed Miliband. After a decade of keeping her membership card firmly at the back of her wallet she's suddenly, like most frustrated lefty activists, fallen head over heels in love with Jeremy Corbyn and is raw Communist sex appeal.

About the Author
Jess Green is performance poet and playwright who has performed at Glastonbury, Latitude, Bestival and the Edinburgh Fringe and in 2014 her poem, Dear Mr Gove received viral attention on Youtube and has now reached more than 300,000 hits. The poem was from her 5* poetry and music show, Burning Books which she performed with her band Jess Green and the Mischief Thieves. Burning Books received a host of 5* reviews at the Edinburgh Fringe in 2014 and 2015 and during its national tour later that year. In 2016 she adapted the poetry show in to a stage play which was longlisted for the Bread & Roses Theatre Award. This process was supported by Curve Theatre Leicester and she received mentoring from both The National Theatre Studio and the Royal Court. The play was performed at the Arena Theatre in Wolverhampton and had a sell-out run at Curve in October 2017, it is due to begin its national tour in Autumn 2018. Jess' first collection, Burning Books was published by Burning Eye Books in September 2015 and was shortlisted for the East Midlands Book Award 2016. She has written for Channel 4 and the BBC and is currently working on her second stage play.

The shipping was just superior

The shipping was just superior; not even one of the books was in contact with the shipping box -anywhere-, not even a corner or the bottom, so all the books arrived in perfect condition. The international shipping took around 2 weeks, so pretty great too.
