About the Author

Allie Esiri, who read Modern and Medieval Languages at Cambridge University, is an accomplished curator and host of live poetry events at the National Theatre, Bridge Theatre, and at the Hay, Oxford, Bath and Cheltenham literary festivals. Her anthology A Poem for Every Day of the Year was in the best books of the year list in The Times and the Observer and the audiobook is read by Helena Bonham Carter and Simon Russell Beale. Her anthology, A Poem for Every Night of the Year was a best book of the year in The Times and the New Statesman and won the IBW 2017 book award.

Emily Faccini is an artist, illustrator and map-maker. She studied art, graphics and illustration at Central St. Martins, Bristol (BA), and Brighton (MA). Over the last two decades she has worked extensively in publishing, the magazine and newspaper industries, as well as for charities, creative businesses, with gardeners and environmental organisations. Her hand-drawn maps, endpapers, logos, lettering and book jackets have been widely used in the UK, Europe and the USA. Her work has notably appeared in books by Stieg Larsson, Patrick Barkham, Lauren Child, Amin Maalouf, Madeline Bunting, Philip Marsden, Samantha Shannon , Stuart Turton and James Buchan.
Emily's Paintings have been shown in many exhibitions. She lives in London and France.

The shipping was just superior; not even one of the books was in contact with the shipping box -anywhere-, not even a corner or the bottom, so all the books arrived in perfect condition. The international shipping took around 2 weeks, so pretty great too.

Found a hard to get book…

Finding a hard to get book on Booksplease and with it not being an over inflated price was great. Ordering was really easy with updates on despatch. The book was packaged well and in great condition. I will certainly use them again.
