About the Author
Ignacio Lopez-Calvo is Professor of Latin American Literature at the University of California, Merced. He is the author of ninety articles and book chapters and eight monographs. He is also the volume editor of fourteen books. He is the Co-executive director of the journal Transmodernity, as well as the co-executive director of the book series 'Historical and Cultural Interconnections between Latin America and Asia' and 'Anthem Studies in Latin American Literature and Culture Series.'
