Each chapter has an aperture on vital mentoring issues (such as productive learning within groups, developing effective marketing and networking strategies, and creating successful student-centered programs) that, together, provides a broader perspective on the professoriate. About the Author
Carol A. Mullen, Ph.D., is associate professor of leadership studies at the University of South Florida and editor of the refereed international journal Mentoring & Tutoring: Partnership in Learning. This national award-winning researcher's specialty fields research include mentorship and graduate student inquiry, and her publications encompass eight books in addition to numerous journal articles. Dr. Mullen is recipient of the 2005 Florida Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development (FASCD) Excellence Award. The category in which she was recognized is Excellence in Instructional Supervision.
