Description
The classic manifesto on popular theatre by the founder of the 7:84 Theatre Companies.
John McGrath's manifesto is as relevant today as it was when first published in 1981. Looking at the ways different classes take their entertainment, he puts the case for what theatre could be doing for the populace instead of walling itself up in subsidised fortresses for the well-to-do.
