Description

This series uses cartoon style illustrations and humorous narrative text to make key topics in Science and Geography both accessible and engaging. This approach encourages children to read about and understand complex ideas. This story follows the passage of a water droplet, from the time when it evaporates from the ocean and becomes the water vapour that makes up clouds to the moment it falls as rain. We learn how water is cleaned and used before being returned once again to this never-ending cycle. This book also contains an experiment, more great facts to know, useful websites and an index.

Colourful cartoon style illustrations, speech bubbles and lively text make scientific ideas easy to understand Key topics for primary schools presented in a unique way Includes fascinating fact boxes, a themed experiment, a list of useful websites and an index Created with the help of expert consultants including scientists from the Department of Earth Sciences at Cambridge University and the Thames Explorer Trust Life Finds its Feet, a title in the earlier Cartoon History series was shortlisted for the prestigious Aventis Prize for Science, for the Blue Peter Book Awards and has been chosen as a recommended read for World Book Day 2003.

The shipping was just superior

The shipping was just superior; not even one of the books was in contact with the shipping box -anywhere-, not even a corner or the bottom, so all the books arrived in perfect condition. The international shipping took around 2 weeks, so pretty great too.
