About the Author
Tony Attwood, PhD, is a clinical psychologist from Brisbane, Australia, with over 30 years of experience with individuals with autism spectrum disorders. He is currently Adjunct Professor at Griffith University in Queensland. Paul Cooper is Professor of Education at the School of Education, University of Leicester, UK. Paul is also Co-chair of ENSEC, and the ENSEC representative at the European Centre for Educational Resilience and Socio-Emotional Health, University of Malta. Priscilla Alderson, PhD, FRSA is Professor of Childhood Studies at the Social Science Research Unit, Institute of Education, University of London. She has written numerous books and articles on young children's rights. Nick Luxmoore was a school counsellor, trainer, teacher, youth worker and UKCP registered Psychodrama psychotherapist. He had over 35 years' experience of work with young people and with the professionals who support them. He worked as the Counsellor at King Alfred's Academy, Wantage, UK. Belinda Hopkins is Director and Lead Trainer of Transforming Conflict, a centre for restorative justice in education. Michael Mandelstam provides independent legal training to local authorities, the NHS and voluntary organisations. In the past, he worked at the Disabled Living Foundation, a national voluntary organisation, and for a few years at the Social Services Inspectorate at the Department of Health. He holds postgraduate qualifications in law, information studies and the history of science and medicine. Professor Dawn Brooker is the Director of the University of Worcester Association for Dementia Studies. Professionally qualified as a clinical psychologist, she has over twenty-five years experience working to improve the quality of care for people with dementia as a clinician, as a service manager and as an academic. Christiane Sanderson BSc., MSc. is a lecturer in Psychology at the University of Roehampton. With 26 years' experience working in child sexual abuse, sexual violence, complex trauma and domestic abuse, she has run consultancy and training for parents, teachers, social workers, nurses, therapists, counsellors, solicitors, the NSPCC, the Catholic Safeguarding Advisory Committee, the Methodist Church, the Metropolitan Police Service and the Refugee Council. She is the author of Counselling Skills for Working with Trauma, Introduction to Counselling Survivors of Interpersonal Trauma, Counselling Adult Survivors of Child Sexual Abuse and The Seduction of Children, also published by Jessica Kingsley Publishers. Kim S. Golding CBE, BSc, MSc, D. Clin. Psy. AFBPsS is a clinical psychologist who works in Worcestershire, England where she was influential in the founding of the Integrated Service for Looked After Children - a multi-agency, holistic service providing support for foster, adoptive and residential parents, schools and the range of professionals supporting children growing up in care or in adoptive families. Kim was trained and mentored by Dan Hughes in the use of Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy (DDP). She was formerly on the board of the Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy Institute supporting the use of DDP in Europe, USA and Canada. She accredits and trains professionals in the approach and has been invited to speak about this work internationally. Sally Donovan OBE is an award-winning writer and adoptive parent honoured for her work in the adoption field. She became a writer with Jessica Kingsley Publishers after long diversions into aerospace and horticulture. Sally was business columnist of the year in 2013/14 as judged by The British Society of Magazine Editors and the Professional Publishers Association for work with the magazine Community Care. In 2017, she was awarded an OBE. Sally is a reader, a gardener, a walker, and a committed tea drinker. She also loves music, comedy, and people being nice to each other. She is a passionate voice within the UK adoption community, and Tweets at @sallydwrites. Vanessa Rogers is a qualified teacher and renowned youth worker with over ten years' experience both at practitioner and management levels. Prior to becoming a nationally acclaimed youth work consultant, Vanessa managed a wide range of services for young people including a large youth centre and targeted detached projects in Hertfordshire, UK. She is the leading authority and internationally recognized for her research about how people respond to sensory experiences in their everyday lives. Professor Dunn has published widely and her work on sensory processing includes development of a set of measures, called the Sensory Profiles, which are used by many disciplines internationally. She lives with her husband Tim in Kansas City, Missouri. Lorraine Nicolle MSc is a nutrition practitioner with a regular clinic at a London-based natural health centre. Lorraine is also a nutrition lecturer and module leader on university-validated degree and post-graduate courses. She works with a healthcare company, writing and delivering nutrition education sessions for healthcare practitioners, and runs workplace nutrition programmes for businesses. Charles Buck is widely respected as a practitioner, educator and author in the field of acupuncture and Chinese medicine. Originally from a medical science background he became one of the first to practise and teach Chinese herbal medicine in the UK over thirty years ago. He has since gained respect for his knowledge and insight and has made significant contributions to its development in the UK and Europe. Charles is currently Chairman of the British Acupuncture Council. Jennifer Peace Rhind is a Chartered Biologist with a Ph.D. from the University of Strathclyde and qualifications in massage and aromatherapy. She has worked in flavour research and product development, as a therapist and partner in a multidisciplinary complementary healthcare clinic, in education and course development, and as a lecturer in Higher Education. She is an author, writer, mentor and essential oils consultant. She lives in Dumfries and Galloway, Scotland. Carola Beresford-Cooke is a well-known and highly respected teacher of shiatsu. She has taught for many years at the Shiatsu College (UK) in London, and lives in Wales where she teaches and gives treatments (www.shiatsu-wales.co.uk).

The shipping was just superior

The shipping was just superior; not even one of the books was in contact with the shipping box -anywhere-, not even a corner or the bottom, so all the books arrived in perfect condition. The international shipping took around 2 weeks, so pretty great too.

Found a hard to get book…

Finding a hard to get book on Booksplease and with it not being an over inflated price was great. Ordering was really easy with updates on despatch. The book was packaged well and in great condition. I will certainly use them again.
