That semi-contradictory state is part of what makes this book such a fun, satisfying educational read. We come away from it at once affirmed and improved in our knowledge and understanding of science. After a warm, personal introduction from one of the authors, the book presents 101 concise questions spanning biology, chemistry, physics, earth science, and general science that readers are encouraged to answer as best they can. Most will be able to conjure partial answers or reasonable conjecture, a factor that boosts confidence and stimulates curiosity. The answer section provides short answers to each of the questions, but follows them with highly informative, easy-to-understand explanations. Readers come away with a greater understanding of the world in which we live and, more importantly, a hunger to learn more." Tillywig Award Winner 2015 Tillywig Toy and Media Awards "This book helps children to learn basic scientific concepts. Skills developed would be on a passive level. Children are asked questions and are to respond to the questions. Then the information is provided for them to answer them. Some critical thinking could be encouraged when the kids are responding to the questions."All of the information was provided in a kid-friendly manner, so mostly all of the information was easy to understand."My boys found the book fascinating. It spurred their curiosity of the natural world." Academics' Choice

The shipping was just superior

The shipping was just superior; not even one of the books was in contact with the shipping box -anywhere-, not even a corner or the bottom, so all the books arrived in perfect condition. The international shipping took around 2 weeks, so pretty great too.
