About the Author
Mel Bartlett learned to sail as a child on the Thames, and then followed a varied career that included serving with the Royal Navy, working as a yacht skipper at the Island Cruising Club, running an engineering business in Cornwall, and ten years as Technical Editor of Motor Boat and Yachting.
