About the Author
Frederick Copleston (died 1994) was Professor of the History of Philosophy and Dean of the Faculty of Theology at London University. His work A History of Philosophy is one of the most remarkable single-handed scholarly enterprises of modern times. Anthony Carroll is Senior Lecturer in Philosophy and Theology at Heythrop College, University of London. He has published a number of books - most recently Religion and Atheism Beyond the Divide (Routledge 2016).
