About the Author
Marianne Sargent currently works as a full-time writer specialising in early years education. She has a PGCE in Primary Education with English specialism and an MA in Early Years Education. She has worked as a teaching assistant in key stages 3 and 4 (including SATS preparation in year 9), taught nursery and reception children and lectured on BA Education and Primary PGCE courses at university level. She has first-hand experience in teaching young EAL speakers in class, as well as supporting their parents.
